I have put in new "heart wood" pine flooring in a log cabin (LR/DR). Trying to keep (somewhat) environmentally safe, I applied 2 coats of 100% tung oil. Seems like it now needs a sealer. I've considered a paste wax but looking for low maintenance solution i.e. damp mop. Can I apply a water based poly or am I now committed to an oil based finish. REALLY trying to avoid sanding between what I expect will be 2 coats. I've read that can be accomplished with a water based finish which dries fast and doesn't yellow. Please help!

After the tung oil has hardened, most oils harden , but do not dry. you can seal with universal sealer. De-waxed shellac can then be coated with either water-based poly-urethane or regular solvent based poly.
