That layout sounds made to order! Can't ask for more than that!
I wouldn't worry about the rip at the back wall of the Master, that's bound to happen in some areas, but IMO totally acceptable, and not a focal point. You may run into the same scenario in the Great Rm, but no big deal.

On the nosings...I would 45 at the corner. I glue as well as top nail. It's especially nice to topnail when your going site finished, ( I still topnail pre-finished nosings). I find it a lot more secure to nail the nosing by hand,( drill pilot holes first), as opposed to shooting them with a gun.

Well I have finally gotten started laying the wood. I racked out all 3 rooms and that does seem to save some time while actually installing. Started by laying the stair nose and went toward the door and also ran into the hallway. Made some spline and switched directions today heading into the great room. Hopefully tomorrow I will finishe the great room. Took some pictures tonight and will post them in a few days when I can get them off the camera.

Starting a new thread on some finishing questions I have. You guys are a great help!
