Hi,
I'm installing a 3.25 x 3/4 oak floor with a Tile entrance. The tile is picture framed and beveled to meet the tile. I have a tongue on the frame and am routing out a groove on each piece butting in to the frame. Had a hard time "adjusting" the tongues to match the grooves, as the bevel would no longer allow an as is interlock. Any suggestions for the next time would be appreciated.
Anyways, the problem I'm having now is the floor is meeting the top of the picture frame at approx 23 degrees, so no problem, Mitering those cuts on my 10 inch miter saw. However, now that I've rounded the corner, and am connecting to the side of the frame, the angle here is approx 65- 70 degrees, which has the cut running about 10 inches in length. Can't cut it on my Miter saw, my miter on the table saw will not accomodate either. My only option at this point is to cut it on my tablesaw by eye, which does not create a pleasant picture on the frame!
I have a few ideas for jigs I'm going to research, but would appreciate any tips you guys can give.
Thanks,
Todd
