I am planning to replace my carpet to wood floor. Can any one direct me to a good wood floor shop in the NYC area? Thanks guys.

This depends on what you want! I would call Carlisle (NH) at 800-595-9663; ask for Peter-- he will know who "kelly in FL) is. They are high-end but do homes internationally and have amazing solid/plank floors that range in price from $5-$30/SF or so, always stable and always authentic.
