Hello everyone, I have decided to install hardwood (engineered) floor to my bedrooms. I have decided to go with Kahrs American natural hard maple Toronto.
this is the link to the product.

http://www.kahrs.com/en-US/Retailers/Pr ... e-Toronto/

My bedrooms are about 100 to 160 sq-ft each. The board dimension is 5/8" x 7 7/8" x 95 3/8"?? They dont have it in the store so I cant see the sample..anyway.. I also live in florida. Is this a good choice for me? I figure summer time is the best season to install since it's humid and hot. Less likely to run into problem right? Thanks.

Kahrs?

Fine choice, except that I wonder of that multiple fillet (small pieces) look. Kind of outdated. I just don't see much of it anymore. But with that Toronto natural Maple it probably won't be as noticeable. But I'm partial to a natural Maple :D

Florida? Fine

Just follow the specs to the T. Doesn't really matter what time of the year down here because of heavy AC use eight months out of the year.

Instead of engineered hardwood, how about solid hardwood? What brand should I go with?

Now, you're asking for trouble. Solid hardwoods on concrete can be problematic, but there are methods if you're so inclined.

There are several ways...not included is a direct glue down of thinner solid hardwoods that can be problematic with the inexperienced.
