Can someone please advise on the best adhesive to use to replace one tile in a herringbone wood floor on light concrete? I'm not sure if the wood is engineered or not -- I've been told two different things by two different people.

I don't see why you could not use a tube of PL Polyurethane adhesive for that Carol.

Are you speaking about Gypcrete here?

I had to actually look up "gypcrete" in Wikipedia because I'm a complete novice about all this! I doubt that's what was used, as there are cracks in it everywhere. (Or perhaps it is, and the cracks are due to incompetent installers? The general contractors ran out of money when this complex was built and the subs just slopped things together. I live 5 miles from the 1994 Northridge earthquake and my floor to ceiling brick fireplace collapsed, primarily because it was suspended on the wall by two nails!)

Thanks for the advice! :P

I grew up In Reseda, which can't be too far from you. We left shortly after the 1971 Sylmar quake. Anyway, Jerry gave you the right advice. PL will work fine.

good thing you weren't in reseda in 1994. My California king bed was literally in the air. Ugh.

Thanks for the feedback.

My highschool buddy grew up and now has moved back to Bolinas, just north of SF.

He said he has woke up many times with the furniture in his room, like it was an electric football field, moving all over the place across the floor.
