Am laying 700 square feet of a 5/8" x 37" x 3 3/4" piece Bamboo floor over a 5/8" Plywood subfloor. A question about nailing. Can I use 1 1/4" brad nails to nail down this floor? The local building supply has a nailer/stapler on sale that interests me for my project but it only shoots a 1 1/4" brad nail or staple at 100 PSI.
Was wondering if it would hold the board down securely enough or should I forget it and go for the more heavy duty machine at 125 PSI with 1 1/2" harwood floor nails ? Appreciate your input. :) :)

I recommend you install your 5/8" bamboo flooring using a flooring stapler. A Bostitch M111FS with 1&1/2" staples will do a great job. You will need to place a thin piece of cardboard between the base and the shoe to get the correct fastener placement. You can use a manuel cleat nailer as well if you desire toi save money.
