 Post subject: Nailing vs gluing an engineered floor with infloor heat

Can I use the nail-down method for a 5 ply engineered wood floor (VIRGINIA VINTAGE) if I have in floor heat (rubber water lines attached to the lower surface of a 3/4" plywood subfloor? And, should I use a padding/insulator under the floor. The room is 24 x 28 with an 18' peak.

Here is the Viginia Vintage (Anderson) installation instructions. They mention installing over radiant using the floating method. They say you cannot use glue. Here's the instructions:
