I am trying to decide between solid 3/4 pre-finished 3" mullican maple and 3 1/4" Somerset maple both with natural finishes. Somerset is cheaper but I am not sure of any significant quality differences between the two brands.

In addition, while I like the wider 4" and 5" planks I am hesitant to get maple in such wide lengths due to the greater potential for cupping.

Any thoughts on which product is better?

Thanks, I decided to go with the Mullican Maple 3". Got a good price from True Hardwood.
