You caught that didja Howard? lol I should have highlighted that as well. Where does a guy find there grading rules is what I'd like to know. I never knew they made a "Standard grade" in Beech.

What do they consider "minor width variation"? A sixteeth is normal in this stuff. I have culled probably 25 to 30 % due to width variation and am running out of wood.

See this is what I am talking about when I hear inspectors touting the formula for extracting the known size of a plank at installation and or manufacturing! They do not know anything cept what the manufacturer states that comes in the box. Yea sure it was milled exactly 5 inches @ 6 to 9% MC.

I saw some of your pictures. That flooring shouldn't' leave the factory like that. I'll definitely watch out for Mullican if a customer requests it.

Your darned tootin it should not have brother. If you read the writing on the box of Mullican it basically says problem free. lol

I think I mentioned this was bought through HD. But it was not. I was mistaken, there was a shipping label on it that had HD on it, weird. Then the consumer said it was purchased through an internet retailer in based in San Diego. Perhaps it passed through a few hands, who knows. But if you go to Mullicans website they say the do not like to have their product sold over the internet. hmmmmmmm

Suggestion for Mullican. If they want to let people unload their Krap over the internet to unsuspecting consumers they should have it re-packaged in those plain white boxes and stamp it in big red letters SECONDS

Paul, I knew there were issues walking into this job and I like a challenge bt man, this takes the cake. Glad I bid it high and was pretty surprised when the owner said I got the job.

I admit I was thrown off by the grading...Standard Grade Beech. In case the powers that be are reading this...and some do as I've been contacted by other manufacturers about posts here....here is the tag;

Oh....see the rh on that thermohygrometer? Read their installation guidelines. Right up front it says to install to your zone (paraphrasing) Then later it says to keep the rh at 30% to 45% or close to that anyway.

That to me is a conflicting installation instruction. Either you do or you don't. My zone is dry and thats how it is getting installed. I would be willing to take them to task about that in a heartbeat if anything were to go wrong. Don't worry though. I have it all fully documented.
