I used to use 15lb felt under all my wood floors, until last week, when I ran across a link that pointed out the difference between using felt, and Aquabar B. Aquabar is a 30-30 kraft paper, and has a perm rating of less then 1. 15lb. felt has a perm rating of between 3 and 7, depending on who makes it. My local lumber yard stores Aquabar B inside the store, the felt paper is outside, in the damp and cold.
