I have a stip of T-molding to install between transitions of 3/4" solid maple.

The problem is the T-molding has a depth of only 1/2" and does not touch the subfloor when set in place?

Is this normal? If not, can I just rip a scrap piece of hardwood and glue it to the T-molding strip to get the full depth?

apparently you got the wrong size...find a "T" molding that is 3/4" thick.

Once nailed in place(I like to use a bead of construction adhesive also, Urethane) It will not be a problem.

I hate it when doing a ½" floor and they give me a ¾ transition piece.
