Hi all. I just measured the moisure content of my solid oak hardwood flooring that I'm planning on installing soon and the moisture content was around 6.5%. I live in Pa where the average relative humidity is around 50% which I believe means my target MC should be around 9.2%. This flooring has been sitting in my finished basement for about 6 months now. It's about 15 feet away from the woodstove which has been running since early October. Will I be ok installing this flooring now or should I try to bring up the MC before installing. This is the first floor I've ever installed and want to make sure I get it right. Thanks.

Thats to low. Get it up in the house where it's going to be installed and check the MC of the subfloor/underlayment. I'd try to get within 2%, might need a humidifier.
