Hello everyone,
I am preparing for my DIY project for putting down hardwood in 3 rooms. Based on my reading, etc., I am looking for suggestions on moisture barriers, etc. I have purchased 2 1/4" X 3/4" Red Oak. It seems that most of the recommendations are around using #15 pound roofing paper/felt as a moisture barrier. I live in Alabama so it does get hot and humid. I do have a crawl space and have the requirements met for subflooring. A couple of questions -

1. Should I use the #15 pound roofing paper/felt or consider something else?

2. What do you recommend to hold down the moisture barrier? Glue, staples, etc.?

Thanks!...:-)
