I need some advice. I have a house I'm about to sell...moving to Oz....

The concrete sweats, I'm in south east Texas and the humidity is high and I'm near the bayou. so the ground stay fair moist. If I lay a piece of plasit down on the floor, in a few days there will be a spot of moisture there.

The bedrooms I did with an engineered floor with an under layment that would breath. Its been two years and the floor is perfect.

The living room and hall were glued down, I didn't do the work so I don't know how well they spread the glue. But in the hall way the floor is rotting away. We pulled it up and it looks like the moisture is eating it away and now I also have soft spots in the living room. I plan on tearing the floor out before the sale and redoing it before I put it on the market.

Is there any way I should treat the floor for the moisture problem? I'm not sure which way I should go...glue down or float with the same under layment I used in the bedrooms....it looks good but the living room I don't want the hallow sound of the floating floor...any suggestions..

question success or test failure?

I am a fan of floating..i think it has
many advantages,.

however.

Bostik's ultra single step will; do the trick for you should you decide to glue down.

You need to remove all old adhesive residue and probably perform a bond test with the adhesive like James recommended. Also take a look at Sika Primer MB and use their adhesive with it.
