I am very interested in installing the Mirage Maple Alaska in my home but have heard that Mirage may be supplied with many short pieces. Can anyone who has installed their floors provide some definitive information on this topic? How does Mirage compare to other brands in terms of number of shorts vs longer pieces? Would a lot of short lengths produce a floor doesn't look as though it has good continuity and flow?

It is becoming a trend with most manufacturers. What use to be cartons of long lengths and just a few shorts, is now mostly shorts and rarely a full long board.

The worst one I've done, was a Bruce Studio B Douch'e. Oh, my, GOD! I should have charged almost double, had I known it was pretty much all shorts. Took almost twice as long to install.
