i am starting my floor install 3\4 " hardwood naildown and would like to know if i have to remove the chipboard thats over the 1\2" plywood it has staples screw and nails would like some advice Thanks harold

Chip board??? Describe it??

Oriented Strand Board (OSB) can stay, but particle board has to go.
