Hi Everyone

I've created a medallions and border using laminated flooring techniques.

It can be used in laminated flooring and also hardwood flooring of a similar thickness (the picture that you are looking at is 12mm thick). It will of course last as long as the hardwood version.

The whole idea here is cost reduction. We are able to reduce the cost of the medallion between 90% to 70%. So a 4ft diameter medallion will cost $150 rather than the $1000 it cost for the hardwood version.

Give me your opinion on my new product

Thanks :D

Very nice.. :D

Do you have an installation PDF that we can go over?

Oh ...my mistake....I just noticed the "integrated in hardwood"..I thought you were recommending a floating laminate installation.

Sorry... But I do question how Laminate will look with a Hardwood Floor.

It is actually design for laminate flooring but it can also can be integrated into hardwood.

As long the gloss level of the both hardwood and medallion matches it looks good also. But some prefer the gloss level to be different to emphasize the medallion in the middle of the room...

We will be coming out with the installation pdf soon. I'll be sure to email one to you. Just PM your email address to me or send it to my email at artparmsia@yahoo.com

thanks for the opion :D

In the case of integrated medallions and borders with Laminate Flooring......Have you put together an installation system to accomodate a floating floor? Dealing with t&g profiles....different thicknesses, etc ?

Ken, I'm trying to get this picture myself!

The product are actually decor paper. the same as in laminated flooring. It uses this to reduce the use of exotic wood species that are getting more expensive.

With the use of laminate flooring industry techniques we are able to maintain a good supply chain because it is easier to get all these different decor paper then is it to get those exotic veneer. Making it 90% to 70% cheaper than the hardwood and engineered counter part.

Yes we have a new installation system that we use to install the medallions on a floating floor system and also hardwood flooring. Our new system can be used with epoxy glue for permanent installation or with a T molding for a easily changeable medallion, so u can change the design easily. We are making the product guides at current moment i will pass it along when it's done.

For the borders at the moment we are using the valinge 2g glueless locking system to connect them together but it has also some different techniques to make the border and the existing flooring a perfect match with each other. Again the product guide is on its way. I'll make sure to share it when its done.

A good descriptive video would be perfect.

Maybe I can help. I'm bored anyway
