Thanks again to all of your advice on this forum.
We finished installing just under 300 square feet of pre-finished Bruce maple hardwood (Antique finish) this weekend (took us two days).
We did an amazing job and I'm so proud of my husband and I.
This was our first time installing hardwood.
We even got our lines perfectly straight, especially since I was obsessing about that for so long.
We're tired, sore and satisfied with a job well done.

I don't know how people do this full time.
It's HARD work (hard on knees and back and shoulders, etc.). We worked 12 hours on Sunday to get it finished.
In the past 5 or so years, we've also done 5 tile projects in our house.
Every year as we get older, it takes a bigger toll on our bodies.
I'm impressed and proud we can do this, but wish we had the strength and youth to do it professionally. There are always people wanting us to do their home and we even thought about flipping, but our bodies will fall apart.
We have a couple of guest rooms we thought about hardwood installs for, but we might just replace the carpet.
