 Post subject: Mapei 990 vs Bostic BST

In my area Mapei 990 cost about $92.00 for a 5 gal bucket, and Bostic BST is about $110.00 for a 5 gal bucket. Do these prices sound normal? Should I spend the extra money for the Bostic or will the Mapei work just as well?

I am putting about 700sf of 5" engineered wood on a concrete slab. Also, what is the standard answer for using or not using banana boards. I have a few boards that are bananaed a bit, will these glues hold them down?

I like it much better then the Bostik's.

Mapei's WFM moisture barrier is much better then Bostik's MVP.

Mapei is very installer fiendly.

Do those prices sound about right? I thought that I read some where that Mapei was half the price of Bostik.

I don't know about "half the price" Acrylics are not even half the price.

I do know, it is better on the budget, and is equal in quality. The value is there.
