considering replacing carpet with Mannington flooring? We have found a 9/16 and a 3/8 we like. The dealer is saying no difference between the two qualities. Is this a good brand and is the difference in thickness a problem?
Thanks,

As a refinisher, thicker if that gives a better wear layer. Your biggest problems with engineered wood is that it a lot of times cannot be refinished when (not if, when) it wears out, and that the layers delaminate. I cannot think of a single engineered floor that I have woked on (5-10 years after someone else installed them) that has not had delamination issues. So if possible I would always choose solid.
