Could someone please tell me why the treads on my stairs are making this noise? Does it need to be replaced? Should I contact a contractor, a carpenter, or a handyman?

Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might solve the squeaking with trim screws through the front edge of the tread going into the top of the riser. Trim screws have a small head that can be filled with a wax filler of the correct color. Find screws with threads that do not start until an inch along the shank, so the tread is pulled tight to the riser, or pre-drill carefully so the tread is pulled tight.
