where i put my baseboards and quarter round down...if you step on the floor right next to it (no one will ever walk that close) it cracks and pops pretty loud i don't know why.. i didn't nail into the floor, i kinda think maybe the paint hadn't dried all the way and it adhered to the floor ...maybe?

soooooo many holes to fill :(

Dude ! You gotta fasten the planks tight to the floor, gravity aint gonna help ya :P

Here's the best filler on the market. I would give them a call and order a tube. If you go to HD and get a Behr chart, these guys will send you the exact color to match your pick on that chart.

http://colorriteinc.com ( Or they may have a supplier near you )

what i meant to say is i didn't fasten the quarter round to the flooring... all the planks like i mentioned are face nailed every six inches

floorologist, you were right, and it went "text-book" too. drilled a hole drove in a 4d finishing nail and used a punch to drive it in (after pinpointing the boards point of flex) and its gone! now as far as the adhesive goes i bought the stuff you suggested, and i was thinking... i guess i pull up the underlayment and glue in sections to the sub-floor? or do i leave the underlayment down and glue to that??

You'll want to cut out sections of the underlayment, and apply the adhesive in a zig zag pattern on the subfloor.

I assume your asking about creaking? loose boards? Installation problem...Tighten them down or replace them, like we discussed.

mk theses small repairs don't seem all that hard and leave little impact so i will prolly just go on and fix, the boards aren't really loose but i do like this glue idea, like i said i wish i could have talked to a professional installer before i started this.

well i was slightly dissapointed with the out come of the last few rows of my floors...there is a section of boards about a foot or so off the front wall of the house. there are 4 1/32 gaps and i hate it, i was down to my last box of planks and that was all i had left...ive been culling the ones (or using them elsewhere) that are too wide or too narrow but i had to put a few in and i hate it! ill post some pics and you tell me if you see them or not..

You just need another tool to pull those last rows in tight.

and now im just waiting to see how long all this last.

one thing i forgot to mention is... where my floors started (hallway/living room) that is a 3 way intersection with the kitchen being to the right comming from the living room. there the wood transitions into vinyl i bought a reducer but its groove, the wood facing the kitchen is groove too, to how do i remedy this? can i make a tongue and glue it into the grove of one of the to? or but them together... i've never messed with this so i figured i would ask

You can mill up a spline or "slip tongue", using scrapes, and glue it in, glue the bottom of the reducer as well. This will only work if the milling profile of the wood and reducer line up,(cut off a small end of the reducer 1st, and test it). Also a good idea to pull it tight over night with some blue tape, and weight the reducer down, unless your also toe nailing the spline, and or, top nailing the reducer,( I try to avoid topnailing ), but usually toenail the spline, along with glue. When you toenail a spline...Use scrapes of wood to make sure spline is seated correctly.
