Hello, I have a few spots of liquid nails on my pre-finished brazilian cherry hardwood floors. They have been there for some time, so they are completely dried and hard. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try and use to remove them?

Paint thinner and some elbow grease should remove them.

But remember, the paint thinner will also remove the finish.

I have yet to find something besides a scraper that will remove it once dried and cured for longer then a day.

Paint thinner should not harm a urethane finish. Perry, isn't that what you recommend to dampen your rags with when installing a glue down with Best?

No, I never recommend paint thinner. That will mess a finish up.

Mineral spirits is natures solvent. It won't harm the finish. It is not paint thinner.

I did not realize there was much of a difference except paint thinner had additives to help paint flow better. Thought they were similar but I guess not.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I will try gently scraping it first and them will try mineral spirits. Wish me luck!
