Has anyone had any dealings with LINK? They mill and finish their wood in Brazil and then sell direct to the consumer. This is appealing as it cuts out a lot of the middle men, but I can't really find much info on this company...anywhere. Their website looks good, but I'm still nervous. Has anyone dealt with them before? www.nogalink.com is their website.

I've also been looking at Nova and Ark. I've heard good things about both of these, but Ark being Chinese makes me a bit cautious! One of Ark's samples they sent me had a poor finish on it, I could drop a penny on it and the finish would discolor (almost turn white) where the impact was. A different sample from Ark did not do this so who knows how it would be on a large order.

I'm looking at 3/4" Pre-finished flooring.

Feedback/opinions?

I dont know much about them I know of them just havent done any business with them. But I will tell you this, I would be very cautious of a floor that cheap. I have about 4 diffrrent sources for 3" solid braz cherry and none of them are anywhere near as cheap a price. Actually, all three are a buck a foot more and thats a Dealer price not retail. So if you can buy it for half of what the market price is makes you kinda wonder? A little cheaper is usually not a red flag but way cheaper look out.

I got some samples from Brazilian Direct and thought they looked horrible. Supposed to be S&B but every board looked different and the milling was way off.

You may want to call and ask how shipping is being affected by the flooding in the southeastern part of Brazil. Even though Rondonia is up country they have to ship it out off the coast. It's a terrible tragedy.
