Hi

I have managed to get half way across a floor and only now notice that my edge curves. The difference is about 1/4 - 1/3 inch between the two extremes. At about 3/4 (or 1/4 if viewing from the other end) of the way along the line it bows outward into the unfinished part of the room.

I am sure folks on this web site manage to avoid this situation. But for those of us reckless enough not to have forseen this possibility when progressing, what would be the preferred remedial steps?

As with my other problem, any advice would be welcomed.

I suppose I should have been using my straight edge after every row to catch this earlier when it was smaller so I could compensate for it by laying some boards with a little more space than others.

How many rows do you have down?

Fifty-five rows of 3 1/4 " pre-finished oak as shown in the discussion titled "Plans of differing widths". Should have been "planks". My recent inattention to detail on this floor, and apparently other things, is shocking!

Right now the row I am on is runs about 40 feet in length through the living room, dining room, and down a hall.

Sad, but true.

Perhaps I should be posting under, "Yikes I have problems!"
