First, I am a complete noob when it comes to hardwood floors but I have been tasked to clean and rehabilitate a well traveled public area, that has hosted alot of traffic and chairs with hard plastic feet. This is most obvious, at the back of the hall, there are not many dark scruff marks but when looking at the floor at a certain angle the wood stain is obviously duller and streaked at different angles to the grain, at first I assumed this was simply scuff marks, I am hoping that the wood finish itself has not been scratched. I have been looking at both DIY and store bought solutions. It has been suggested to me that we use baking soda and water, another option is going with Bona Harwood Floor Cleaner, (would this store bought solution do the trick?), or is there any other suggestions?
