Hi Everyone.

This is my first post, and I'm starting with a subfloor leveling, or should I say flattening, question. I'm installing 3/4" hardwood in my daughter's bedroom only for now.

I have read about using shingles and/or felt paper to level, but I thought removing the plywood would give me an opportunity to add sound reducing insulation, and then be able to add some PL Premium before screwing the new plywood down. In this case I had planned on shimming between joists and plywood, or sistering joists.

I thought the main problem was in the middle of the floor (lower joists), but now I think the worst is a high joist on one side of the room.

At this point, I'm not sure what the best method would be.

Hopefully, these photos are visible.

Thanks in advance.
