I have only one word to say: WOW!

Seriously, the only downside I can see is that the glue is proprietary. If this was a universal unit, that pails could be hooked up to, then Im first in line. Wonder if Seka, Bostik, Dural, Franklin, Roberts, etc., are gonna come up with "glue in a sack" for this unit.

K, I have been looking into this.
While the machine is adjustable for different widths and lengths of material; it seems that the glue lines are only adjustable to a fixed length for any set-up. I think some modifications to the machine are needed, and am going to pursue this with the manufacturer.
Some kind of trip switch to start and stop the glue lines should be acheivable to allow this unit to be used on products such as Mirage's engineered floors.
Otherwise, it is too limited to be practical, since; at least in our case we are highly resistant to uniform length products.

But, WOW!

The people behind the product sent me the information and a few things I thought of were:

Random Length- Not many engineered gluedown products are fixed length here in the USA. Off the top of my head one is Award and that thin sliced BR111 engineered. No, they have two lengths...I think. Perhaps something that could see the length as it goes through the machine via laser.

..and yes, if you could use other adhesives for the machine.

I just wonder how you keep the thing cleaned? We all know how messy glue is regardless of how careful one can be.

I'll send this thread link to the manufacturer and see if we can get some responses. They are looking for input.

Here's a reply I got this morning...Excuse the writing, the fellas name is Espen Vige and he's from Norway.
----
Thank you fore taking a look at our product.

Yes, the machine can take random length hardwoods but as you can see it works best with the same length.
Yes, it take different widths .
Length it can take -- 4.30 foot long boards and down to 1 foot. And ale betvin.
With it can take -- 8 inches and down to 2 inches.
We made a US model size Floormaster 1000 because the us marked was a little different from the Europe marked. The machine is from Norway and so am I.
If you saw the movie on our web site, that was the Europe machine.
We also supply the glue in the bags fore the machine, the glue is specially made for floormaster 1000 so it wont get clogged. We have a glue manufacture in New York that only distributes hard wood glue
And nothing else so they are specialist one glue.
The glue comes in bags so no more massy jobs.
And yes it is weary easy to clean the machine.
The machine is good fore bigger homes but it is specially design for commercial jobs.
Wold you know any on that cold need a machine like this, and that wold be interested in a demo ?

----

I'd love to see a demo. I'll be in Florida between Dec 17 & January 22.

Anybody have a gludeown job coming up in Florida? Maybe I can finally get my video stuff out again :D :D :D :D

Very innovative! Gets your mind going in all directions, would love to see a demo.
I can see where this machine could be great for commercial, I see numerous residential questions.

Dennis's point about the adhesive is huge. Ya, hang a bucket on the side with a pump. We all know how various wood manuf. specify adhesives. Some manuf. are to the point , i.e. Mannington, Anderson, ( not just saying use Bostik ).

And Ken's question on cleaning... I'd like to see that process.

Almost seems like "beads" on the back of the wood , as opposed to the "fullspread" substrate , might have some issues? Substrate transfer? Correct percentage of glue coverage on wood?

Thats what I thought of immediately was cleaning, board length and percentage of coverage which you all know is critical.
