Question for the veterans - what do you typically do with your leftover material from orders that no longer match current run or dye lots? You know, the 3-4 boxes of material left on the skid after the customer orders slightly less than a full pallet? Not enough sqft to sell on its own, and no longer exactly matching the color of the new stock. Useful for repairs but not much else that I can think of.

Its bad enough to hang on to a full skid of unpopular material in hopes of a clearance sale, but 3-4 boxes? What are your thoughts? All engineered by the way, no solid hardwood I'm afraid.

My old boss would sand to bare wood so all the colors could be finished the same.
The best thing would be to use unmatching wood in closets and hope to sell it that way.
