I have encountered about issue with my planning.

First off its 3/4" brazilian cherry that I plan to lay.

The house has 8" concrete block walls and in one hallway (13x3) I have to across over this concrete block wall where the arch way is (6ft), plus another small spot (2 ft) along this hallway.

The flooring will run parallel over these blocks. Now I plan to lay 3/8 plywood over the floor and over the blocks, BUT I can't nail into 3/8 so how should I secure the planks over those 2 spots?
It was suggested to me to glue them down with wood glue.

Its really confusing to understand without pics. But not to worry, i had a friend of mine who has done many hardwood installs at work, he's a carpenter and he sorted it out for me, need to make a threshold.
