Post subject: To keep extra boards or not???

Hi everyone, just a simple question. The previous owners of the house I bought left over a box of some of the hardwood boards used in my house. Is there any point in keeping them? Could they ever be used to replace a damaged board? Thanks!!

You are very lucky. Yes, I would save them, in case you need them. This can help you if you get some scratches, or water damage in a section, or just if you need to match what's there (e.g. if you want to extend to engineered or solid and whether it can be sanded.
