We have a customer interested in installing IPE hardwood flooring. We were curious if anyone has experience with this particular species and whether there are any problems with it down the road. Our concern is because of the extreme density of this species, that it might not be stable enough or difficult to install. We just don't want to have any hassles down the line, if it's not worth it. If anyone has had any experiences with this particular hardwood, any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Marlene

Ipe is hard, very hard. One installation inspected required screws.. Another inspection found the installer giving up on fasteners and used adhesive on 3/4" x 6" plank... Cupped within two weeks.
Marco and some other participants may have the answer on how to install Ipe, I just know it is hard.
