Hey guys, does any one here handle insurance work on a regular basis? I am trying to start doing insurance work and I want to know how to get on the insurance companies list of preferred flooring contractors. Thank you in advance for help!

Have you tried calling the insurance agents in your area? I presume you have all required licenses, and your own liability insurance. Ask them for help.
You may need to itemize your bids according to each companies practices.

Your gonna have to really lowball everyone to get a foot in the door. They usually request 3 estimates from contractors so they can call the one they use all the time and ask them if they can match or beat the price, it's all a scam. Thats why I charge for insurance job estimates.

In California, one estimate is all that is need from a licensed contractor for insurance work. If you have a reputation for good work at low prices you will be what insurance companies like. Surely, if you charge less than anyone else you will be keeping busy. The homeowner wants to have work done that is to the standard of the industry. Good contractors strive to improve the standard of the industry.
Cheap work may not cut it. Some homeowners can not tell the difference.
They pay good money for coverage and still will accept poor quality work because they are getting it for "free".
