Last year I installed wood flooring thru-out most of my house. (This forum was a lot of help) This year I would like to do one more room - the front room where there is a the front entry door.
The problem: It will raise the height of the floor the thickness of the wood flooring plus the underlayment height. My front door will not quite clear the floor to open. I suppose I could replace the door. It needs replacing anyway. But I'm wondering if it would then take a custom door? And even if the door did clear the flooring, I wouldn't know how to fit the wood flooring up to or under the door threshold?
I'm sure you guys deal with wood flooring and front doors all the time. Any words of advise?
thanks
