When building stairs with pre-finished flooring strips, If the bull nose is set first, and the female groove faces the riser, are the intermediate boards glued only? Are they blind nailed into the groove? I was looking at the step by step process on "hardwood installer" but got a little lost. The stair building section was re-done and I can't remember what I did the last time I did stairs in my house, (over a year ago). Any help to clarify would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. gj :?:

I dry fit everything then with it all dry fitted I pop nails in along the back of the tread so the riser will cover the nail holes. Then I pull the rest off and then I lift the edge of the back board ever so slightly and get my glue nozzle under there. then I blind nail into the tongue. The I glue up the back of the next board, place it, get it tight, and blind nail it too.

Then the stairnose. I glue it on and then using my brad nailer, I pop some top nails into it.
