So we're doing pretty good at installing our flooring (BR111 Triangulo Brazilian Cherry) so far :) But we've run into a snag -- we're not quite sure what to do with the reducer.

Here's the situation: one doorway in the master bedroom goes from the hardwood to some vinyl tile in the master bath. There's an obvious height difference, so my understanding is that a reducer is appropriate here. Does the reducer go in the exact middle of the door (i.e. where the door jamb juts out)? Also, how to affix the reducer to, well, anything? This is a floating install. Do we glue it to the vinyl tile underneath? Help! I would really appreciate some detailed instructions.

It goes directly under the door when it is closed. So no, not right in the middle.

Attach it to the vinyl or attach it to the flooring, but not both, or you will lock in your floating floor.

Any suggestions on what to use to affix the reducer to the vinyl flooring? Wood on vinyl...not sure what sort of glue to use for that.

Are T-moldings the same as far as placement -- i.e. directly under the door? I'm assuming that in a floating install, you don't glue to the wood on either side.
