Hi. I was wondering what type of moisture barriers are necessary between concrete and plywood when installing a solid wood in S. Florida.

Is a masonry sealer enough or do you need some sort of visquine type layer?

Thanks!

In such a damp State and over concrete, you generally want to go over board . I'd generally think that a spreadable product like Bostich MVP or similar and then 6 mil construction plastic over that . Then a floating sub floor if you desire to nail the flooring to the sub floor.
