Hi
I was wondering what standard is used to install 3/4in hardwood against the front door and back door. Do i need to leave a 1/2 or 3/4 gap or can i butt it up to the frame of the door? Thanks for the help

I leave a 1/2" gap that I cover with a threshold I fabricate out of the same material.
