The problem is that the edge isn't finished down to a 1/4"...Will I just need to stain it?

Well I figured out the transitions. Actually I happened to find some at Lowes that matches the Brazilian Cherry to a T. Should work just fine.

I have been swamped at work, but am getting ready to get started on it tomorrow. I have run into an issue I need some advice on.

I know I am suposed to face nail and then fill the first line of boards next to the wall and counters/cabinets. The problem is that there is a toe kick that prevents me from getting a hammer in and face nailing the last/first row. What do you recommend for this row? Should I use some Liquid Nail and just glue it down? if I do, will it stick? Will it warp?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks as always.
Cheers!

If you can rent a 15 or 16 ga finish nail gun with compressor .. PL 400 is a better glue that you can get at lowes ..

Glue them under the toe kick. NO to Liquid Nails! It says right on the tube, not for flooring use.

I use PL Premium Urethane, in the Yellow tube.

Thanks for the help. Yes, I saw the " not recommended for flooring" on the thing of liquid nails, but figured that might mean for the entire job, which I never planed on. I'll go get the PL

I do have a set of nailers (Senco) including a finish nailer. Should I just try and nail with the nailer instead of gluing it?? One of the nailers is angled so I might be able to get it close. Is that what you meant?

I appreciate all of the help. Also, all of the directions I have seen for face nailing say to pre-drill the hole and then nail by hand. Since you don't pre drill a hole you are going to nail with a nailer. I won't hurt (split) the wood by using the nail gun will I?

Lastly, How much of a gap should I leave on each side of the floor? I have read 1/2" is the correct? That seems like a lot.

Run a bead of glue and nail it flush .. pre-drilling the hole depends on the hardness of the wood .. you should just be able to just nail it .. try it on a piece of scrap first and see if it splits .. remember any gauge over 16 is not going to hold very well .. Go to lowes or HD and get some wood putty to match and putty the little holes ..
Gaps at wall should be thickness of wood .. But half inch should be fine if you are not in a high humidity area ..
