I am going to purchase Carbonized Horizontal Bamboo Tongue and Groove flooring soon and i am not sure about installation. Most information seems to be about installing Hardwood.
The company i am buying it from is 'Masters Choice'.
I am not sure what method to use to install (Nail or Staple).

Does anyone have experience with this type of Flooring ?

Are there any good sites on installation of this type of flooring ?

Also what type of Stapler can you use to install ?

Thanks

depending on thickness of the flooring would determine what gun to use,if a gun is needed at all. the bamboo i have installed is 5/8 in thick and i own a bostitch miiifs flooring stapler. you can purchase a pre finished "boot" designed to be used with a metal shim( included with the boot) for 5/8 flooring. if you read the box it should tell you what to use to install it

Masters Choice is a 5/8th product so you will need the adapter for your gun

i installed vertical carbonized as well. the manufacturer was silkroad, and it was 5/8. i initially used a stapler, and there was too much splitting of the tongues happening. i switched to nails and had no probs.

Hello.
You don't want to start a new conversation about staple or cleats? This is just the same!
The important things in your project are.

Moisture and acclimation.
I assume you are installing your bamboo floor ove the woodne sub floor.
If the bamboo goes on concrete of coure you would have to glue it and sometimes apply MVP.

Now.
If this is just 1/2 thick bamboo then you will need a staple gun which is for engineered floors.
The 5/8 bamboo you could nail with the regular nailer but of course check on the first boad.
Where the nail hits? How deep does it go it?
Does it split the thoung?
Bamboo floor is relativly soft so take it easy and carefull with tools and things of the floors.

Unles this is strand bamboo floor, this is a very hard floor but of course the sharp object will scrach the finish.

Good luck.
