I have decided on br-111 3" engineered 5/16 santos mahogany hardwood flooring for my concrete and I had a few questions. I'm having it installed.
1. I am still removing the tiles that are over the concrete. Should the concrete be flattened out before the moisture barrier is put on?
2. Do I need to test for moisture if I'm going to do the moisture barrier no matter what?
3. Is it easy to DIY moisture barrier with MVP to save some money?
4. I live in the Bay Area. Do I still need to acclimate engineered wood?
5. Do I need to have the guy installing the floors use humidifiers while installing or is that just for solid wood?
6. I am providing all the materials for my installer. How much glue do you think I'll need for an 850 sq ft area?
7. How much of that MVP do I need?
Thanks for any help.
