This is my first attempt at hardwood flooring. Its a 6ft by 8 foot closet. There is one door on the 8ft side and one on the 6ft side. this is 3/4 x 2.25" boards using 2" staples.
After the prep work I started my rows along the 8ft wall oposite the doorway. I'm using a pneumatic nailler. I'm now within 5 rows of the oposite wall and I can't get the nailler in there to finish the job.
If I had thought about it I would have put this in before the walls went up and layed a sheet of plywood down.

How should I finish this ?

Help !

Glue and face nail the last boards down.

You can get a couple of more rows angling with a finish nailer or like Gary suggested a little PL premium urethane in a caulking tube(found in the paint section at both Blue or Orange) squiggled serpentine style down the back if the board, and smaller brad nails, if needed.

Or cut slits in your felt paper and apply a bead of glue about every 4-6 inches.

I never knew thats how it was done. I was very leary of gluing it down as was earlier suggested. I'm so temped to pull down the drywall, finish the job and then put it back up.

Still would be a problem as the wall studs would be in your way. And your nailer won't fit for the last two rows either. Take it from us pros who have installed millions of feet of floors.

Thank you for your help.

I have a brad nailler. It would get me much closer. I think I'll make a stop by home depot on the way home.

Thank you
