I want to either install laminate or hardwood in my house. My house is 1809 sq ft and minus the bedrooms(700 sq ft), i want it installed through the house. How much would it cost to hire someone to install the floors? I live in houston texas. What is the standard fee to pay someone? Also, which is ideal? hardwood or laminate?

There is no such thing as a standard fee, when talking about contracting labor. Every business has different cost amounts for running their businesses, and the lifestyles they wish to live. It also goes by supply and demand. The good guys, are always busy and there fees are usually higher then most.
