I'll be installing 5/8 Strand bamboo in master, great room, kitchen and eat-in kitchen...first HW installation attempt

Looking at the attached pic I plan on starting at the red line and use a couple of splines to reverse...following the arrows.

Originally I was gonna start on the 35'-5" wall and work forward...splining back into the master...after I drew it out I changed my mind to this plan which would start at the red line.

Whatcha think?

That'll work. You are installing the flooring perpendicular to the floor joists, right?

I would snap a line where your red line is then measure back and start off the wall. Less back filling.

Yes.. I'll be running perpendicular to the joist.

As far as snapping a chalk line on the red line and stating at the 35' wall there is one item I don't show on the diagram.

The 4'11" wall that starts about 40% of the way through the red line actually protrudes about 6 inches further than the wall it touches. If the program I used wouldn't 'auto connect' the walls I would have shown this. To scale that wall would almost touch the red line. That's kinda why I'm leaning towards starting there..laying one row..then the second row would follow the complete red line.

I'd start at the strairway or around there and go both directions.

I agree. Probably at around the Master doorway, ( better location for divided movement as well)
