I am planning to remove the carpet in my bedrooms on the second floor and replace it with Mullican Austin springs or Bruce Lock N fold flooring(both are floating floor installs). The hallway carpet will be replaced with new carpet. It was suggested that I use a baby threshhold to transition betwen the flooring and the carpet with the threshold placed against the bedroom side of the door stop.(see arrow on picture below)
I know that I will need to undercut the door casing in the bedroom for the flooring. Should the undercut also include the door jamb? If it should include the door jamb, should it end and door stop or should the undercut include the door stop and the entire door jamb?
Thanks
