as long as it is a thin solid, and the proper moisture barrier is used under the plywood, and the plywood is set on rubber footing cleats, to give it an air space.

The thickness is 3/4" solid. The flooring is glued directly to a plywood underlayment over concrete. Now the wood flooring is lifting at the plywood seams. I have been told that this floor should have been nailed, is this true ? Thanks

Don't glue a solid ¾"

I agree, it should have been nailed, or stapled.
www.NOFMA.org, to checkout the subfloor requirements and proceedures for going over concrete.
