Hi Everyone,

I'm seriously considering installing a floating engineered wood floor over my linoleum (I saw somewhere that this was possible) and was wondering if anyone had tried this before or had recommendations on the pros/cons of doing this?

We're doing all the work ourself, and to be honest I'm REALLY dreading pulling up the 20 - yr old lineoleum! Its in very good shape overall, not pulling up or anything ...

Thanks!
Louise

There is no reason to remove the VINYL (not linoleum) floor. Just be sure the floor is flat and sound. Renail if needed. Also, pay attention to clearance as now, the new floor will be almost 3/4" higher. (pad plus flooring).
