i have had my old frank drum sander now for over 20 years. it's still going strong but i think the time has come to get a new machine.

i have used the taurus machines quite a bit when i wirked in london. i've used the hummel only once about 10 years ago.
what machine would any of you go and buy. bear in mind i live in sweden so not every machine is available.

Well, here in the USA, Hummels and Clarke Floor Crafters are very popular. K&T sanders also get good marks. Any of those should work well for you but they are all belt style sanders and not drum sanders. Also, some guys here are using Bona ProSand sanders. Other brands are Porter Cable and Galaxy, which are both N. American brands. You would most likely be best off with a machine manufactured in Europe so obtaining parts and service will be much easier. Considering that, a Hummel or a K&T.
