exquisite surfaces has nice antique style oak flooring. Interested if anyone knows what their prices/product are like. I l ike the bleached white look and one of the lines has a very unique, irregular indigo dye. Can this be mimicked?

I have red oak floors in the house which I'd like to refinish. Is it possible to achieve some of this look with a refinish?

thanks

Try Monocoat. http://www.monocoat.us/Color-Samples/
I'm pretty sure you're gonna like the end result https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H6s7PFejic

White oak works better for creative effects, but even on red oak you'll get some looks, i haven't seen on other brands

Just make sure you find a contractor that's familiar with the process.

This looks like an Oil Finished French Oak. There are several brands which have these types of floors. Teka, Hallmark, Du Chateau are some of the brands which have a similar style. The beauty of the oil finish is that it hides imperfections, scratches, dents very well.

Distressed wood flooring gives any room a particular character. It is perfect for rustic interiors, hand crafted to achieve the exact look you desire.

Distressing requires both skill and artistry. It is a technique used to give wood flooring an interesting aged finish. It can be done before wood is installed in the house or restaurant or after installation. Contractors who create distressed wood study existing old wood flooring, and apply its characteristics to new wood. Any wood can look like old oak flooring through various techniques, such as hand scraping, wire brushing, sanding, rubbing, and striking.
